I am plannign for a drive along the Mosel river from Cochem to Buern-Kastel.? Later we can have dinner and then taste some wine or we can have some wine and then dinner.? For those that would like to stay over night, I can get with some people and arrange an overnighter.
Good times with good people.? Hard to pass up.? Oh yeah, good wine too!!

[/quote]Here's an outing I'd like to share (some of you mention both these cities here on this post), and maybe hopefully we can meet there one sunny day. Go to Rudesheim (Germany), there's plenty of cheap parking. Hang out and drink, eat, then buy a "round trip ticket" at the bottom of the Seilbahn . It encompasses going up to the statue (picture posted on this tread) on a gondola/cable car, then, you walk down/across the hill over several vineyards overlooking the river and a couple of castles close enough to touch. Then as you approach Assmannhausen, you take a chair lift down to the town. Hang around the town, eat, drink, whatever, and then take a ferry boat back to Rudesheim. All for 9 Euros.
We did it a few weeks ago when they had the Rudesheim Wine Fest and it was awesome. We've done it before that and after as well. It's that much fun.
I'm waiting on the 550i to start coming out of the assembly line so I can order mine.
Best Regards,
Santiago.
