Roy, a 2 pm start time and a dinner that's starts at 5-6 pm on the Jersey Shore on a Sunday is a little late for those of us who don't live nearby the shore -- especially with Sunday summer shore traffic. Your call but you might be an ever bigger turnout if the meet's start time was 12pm.

It'll be good to catch up with all of you from N E W Jerz -- the state where I grew up.

OK... we will be meeting at Sawa at 12 NOON instead of 2pm as originally planned to give the guys from New York an early drive back.

We can meet at Sawa Restaurant at 12noon....check out our cars...go for a ride at Ocean Blvd all the way to Ashbury Park and Back...stop for a few shots.
Finish back at Sawa Restaurant for early Habachi/Sushi dinner around 2pm. I can have the do a set dinner pricing or we can do ala carte. We just need to decide.

Directions:
42 Route 36 Eatontown, NJ 07724

From Garden State Parkway - take Exit 105 and proceed east on Rt. 36 east - just past Monmouth Mall - SAWA is on the right hand side.

From the North - take GSP, Rt. 18 or Rt. 35 to Rt. 36 east - SAWA is on the right.

From the South - take Rt. 18 or Rt. 35 to Rt. 36 east - SAWA is on the right.

From West - take Rt. 18 to Rt. 36 east - just past Monmouth Mall - SAWA is on the right hand side.

Thanks Joe. We also went on some terrific roads after lunch (Sussex County Route 650, Route 17A in the New York and County Route 106 in Harriman (which we could not go on during the Bear Mountain meet due to the huge size of the group and the heavy police presence in Tuxedo)). We missed you.

There is a far more twisty and dangerous road than anything we did in the Poconos. It is in central Pennsylvania, lying about an hour west of Allentown. That road makes the stuff we did in the Poconos seem like child's play. The road is 32 miles up and 32 miles back and is widely ranked as the most challenging twisty road within 3 hours of New York City. It goes up and down a number of mountains in a very rugged and rural part of Central Pennsylvania. Victor and I ran it a few weeks ago and there was little traffic and zero police presence.

I am thinking about setting up a meet centered on that road but, because it is 150 miles west of New York City, I am concerned about a super low turnout. Although to me, 5 cars would be fine as the road is very dangerous and it's super easy for a driver to lose control and get killed.
