Someone should really head-up this meet. As jdcinc21 suggested, someone from (or is very familiar with) Austin might be a better reference for a restaurant, and place(s) to meet-up. I'm simply compiling the list, but would be more than happy to help.

Salt lick seems to be pretty popular with visitors to eat bbq, but what about Iguanas on Lake Travis? They have a great view of the lake and plenty of parking. Salt lick also has a pretty nice atmosphere from what I remember.
