I've never attended Hot Import Nights. I've seen pics and it looks interesting, but what would a booth cost? How many cars can you line up and what would the booth have to offer - other than showing the cars off?

I'm not a big fan of Hot Import Night. I went with my friend last year and cops are EVERYWHERE. They raided a few cars and passed out tint/exhaust/watever tickets like candy. The cops brought a few 16 wheeler and impounded 20+ cars.
I went with my friend in his IS300 and he got pulled over for exhaust and tint ticket. He's been driving around with that setup for 3 years with no problems.
Maybe you guys will have better luck.

why would they give tickets to registered cars that are supposed to be in the show?
I'm not the only one who got pulled over. My other friends got similar tickets and left at various times. The cops are just waiting for prey on show night. I heard they even set up road blocks. Don't know if thats true though.
Some people are just luckier than others. I'm glad you haven't gotten a ticket in the past 3 years. Doesn't mean everyone is as fortunate as you.

Went to Hot Import Nights in San Mateo two weeks ago and didn't see the type of police presence that was mentioned here. Must be a Socal thing.
