Can't get out of going. Will be on console in the ROCC (Range Operations Control Center) as Range Program Manager. Almost the same place I was for STS-1 in 1981.

Any truth to the rumor that if you have an E60.net cling on your window you get preferred parking for the launch?

Watch news (late in day) carefully for signs if we rollback Shuttle. Started preps this evening but will decide at midnight if we continue preps or stop. If we continue preps, but ultimately not rollback it will still cause a 1 - 2 day slip. So I should know tomorrow by 2 PM EDT. A rollback will cause even more delay.

NASA stopped rollback preparations this morning. Should be no imact to launch date. However, there are some typical Florida weather patterns that could cause some issues during normal processing.

yeah, i've been watching closely ... especially since i have tickets for the launch, and for the American Idol tour in tampa ... they happen to be on the same day.

bought both tickets before nasa rescheduled to the 13th.

also .. just got news today that my car will be ready on the 15th ... will be shipped from VPC on wednesday.

please do let me know if you think that they will post pone the launch ... as long as it wouldn't get you in trouble for doing so ... otherwise i'll try to sell the AI tour tickets.

Still on so far - How u making out in the wx department yourself?

They brought Astronauts in today vice Sunday due to wx. If we count down Wednesday but do not go it may be a couple of days before they try again due to wx predictions for that time of day on Thursday and Friday. It?s always a crap shoot, but even more so now with the all the restrictions for RTF (Return to Flight). Very narrow window ? no more than 10 minutes despite what news orgs may publish.

Good to hear. We were not touched at all, just a dull dreary couple of days, with some gusty winds, nothing serious. We did get some lightning so that prohibits any work at pad but they had enough slack that it had no impact on schedule, yet.

What time of day are u heading over? Or do u come the night before.

With so much media attention on this RTF I expect u will hear about any slips, delays, etc. But I?ll try to post (or PM) if I hear of anything that changes.
