Well sadly there are only three South African E60 Members and only two of us were available for a breakfast meet yesterday; myself and Streak.

I guess we have to start somewhere There are certainly enough E60's in our country - we just need to get some more of the owners onto the forum.

Anyway it was a good meet and I got to drive Streak's 530d with a Schnitzer conversion -- first time I drove a diesel, and I was very impressed

Thanks Streak

Well the Hong Kong meet started out with 2 cars too. But at the next meet there will be 7 cars and maybe some M5s. So be patient and put those decals on your car to promote this site so more people will know about it

Hey

Very nice indeed. Good yin-yang (silver/black)... Is it my imagination or is the silver car's tail pipe pointing downwards Hv never seen a down pipe on an E60.

Could it be a diesel thing?

Yes Streak was talking about it yesterday. It is the diesel cars that get this tailpipe here. Not sure when it is scheduled to change.

All the 530D's started out with down turned tailpipes. The when the particle filter was introduced in Europe, the cars started coming out with straight pipes.
The particle filter has not been introduced in our market.

It was great being part of the inaugural meet, thanks BMW#5 for putting it together.

How come they don't have the particle filter over there in SA, they don't care about the environment?

Lovely pics.

The carbon black one looks freakin beautiful with the 19" alloys!!

Has getting rid of the run flat tyres improved the ride ?

I love the rims as well. I know I have posted once or twice in regards to them. I guess these pics were the seller for me. It was a toss up between the M5 rims and those 172s. Now I can't wait to see a set on mine!

Having no moonroof strikes me as odd now-in-days. I think BMW#5's looks smooth without it, but I couldn't see myself without one. I guess I am one of a few who actually use it and couldn't live without it.

Thanks for the pics BMW#5.
