Depends on the shot. I think the purists would be pissed at the amount of retouching I do LOL. My camera is still a basic Canon 500D with an entry level lens, and I've only been mucking with the camera since last year so I rely on Photoshop to compensate for all the mistakes I make. I have a specific look I'm going for with each shot and I try to use all the tools inside Photoshop to get that look to show up in the final shot. One of these days I'm going to get a better camera and lens as well as lighting mechanisms so that I can rely less on retouching and do more with just the camera.
