I was thinking we find a full service hotel that has a bar/restaurant so we can just hang out and chat and walk back to our rooms.
If not, how far is the downtown area from this Best Western or is there some kind of bar/restaurant/sports bar..etc....close by?
Put it another way...where do the ladies hang out???
Watch, my wife's going to decide to come with me now. hahaha

OK guys, so we're going to have one Major Greet and Meet, and one mini-night greet and meet.
Major Greet and Meet is 11/18. What about mini-night beers and bars? Is it 11/18 or 11/17?

hey guys...count me in for maybe for the meet because last nite my neighbor passed away in Napa Valley in a motorcycle accident...I dont know what really happened but i hope my parents don't use that as a excuse to not let me go....

Downtown SLO is about 5 minutes from the Best Western, and for the "younger" crowd, the night life is downtown, and starts to pick up around 10. There is a decent steakhouse right across the street from the Best Western, and it has a great and fun bar (ummm....yes I know this from waaay too much experience there). Whatever you guys want to do is fine with me. I'm just trying to find a decent hotel that won't break anyone's bank....better to save your money for the bar, right? I didn't mean to be a pain, the Best Western will do just fine. Especially since we're so close to everything.
As for which night is the beer/bar night, I think I'm driving there Sat morning and staying Sat night. What about the rest of you guys? Where are the Bay Area folks? We need to pick a time and place to caravan.
