Torquey5 and I have rooms reserved at the Ramada (3400 Calle Real) in Santa Barbara. We stayed there last year and the entire hotel is full of BMW folks from all over the place. The rate is about $189+. We're there Fri and Sat. Try reserving a room there so we can all be at the same location. Otherwise, look up hotels in Expedia.

Sorry I didn't work with any hotels for a group rate. This is mainly because most of them get booked fast due to this event when over six thousand people converge on SB. Also, it doesn't seem like everyone has decided which day they're going and if they're staying or going back the same day. I suggest trying to reserve at the Ramada now and if anything changes, you can always cancel.

Better book it quick or else you'll be sleeping in your car!

Tony, you can put me down as tentative. My wedding anniversary is that weekend, apparently. That shouldn't be a problem, though.

Make it an anniversary vacation getaway weekend; one that just happens to include a few hours hanging out at a BMW meet.

There should be some great hotels with good location down in Santa Barbara that I'm sure Teri will appreciate.

The SoCal group that went to SLO in March met @ FRY's in Woodland Hills and caravaned up from there. Not sure how everyone felt about that location.

Here's a few large parking lots real close to the 101 Fwy, 15 miles south of Woodland Hills in North Hollywood. I'll meet anywhere though.
Any other ideas?

I'll let you know the meeting point shortly. I know we met at a shopping center last year and then drove to the showgrounds coming from the opposite direction as the SoCal caravan to avoid the looooooooong caravan that lines up at the gate.

The registration on the link on the original post is really just for the organizers to measure attendance.
