Okay...

Jon won't reserve a bunch of space for all one type of car...but we're a pretty tight community i'd think.

The goal would be to put all of the E60s/61s in one location. Of coruse, I'll be the only E61....BWAAAHAHAHAH.

That being said, can someone reserve space? Do we need to show up in force?

Do a couple white guys need to get there early to intimidate the asian guys? (It's a height and weight thing.)

Do I need to really buy a larger size pant because I'm getting that much fatter?

These questions (and many more) need to be answered.

But mostly, I think it'd be awesome to reserve a big chunk of lawn for the peeps.

Thoughts?

Yeah, I'll be joining the Norcal caravan. We need a scout to get to the fair grounds early Saturday morning with cones to reserve spots. I'm going to ping the Socal peeps and see who all is going.

I have crime tape. I'm sure we could seal off an entire block.

That'd be PERFECT!

Can we count on you or one of the Socal crew to get there early enough to seal off, say, enough room for 20 cars? We should have at least that.

I'm thinking of a cool sign--like "Reserved for E60 Parking"

Another thought--what if we put the cars all on the lawn/area, and then set up a group meeting area where everyone can hook up and maybe do a BBQ? We can send people in/out to do food or whatever. I'm just thinking someone can bring a table, we can all bring chairs, coolers, drinks, maybe the socal locals can haul a BBQ, or we can just bring a couple sandwiches, or send someone on a run?

Regardless, spread the word on the other Bimmer boards, and let's put something together!

I already posted it on Bimmerfest....

You will notice that the bimmerfest crowd is not very receptive bunch.

If you guys wish to park together, you'll have to drive in together as basically you park with whoever you drive in with.

You guys could drive with your respective caravans then meet somewhere outside of the bimmerfest meet, then drive in together. Seems like too much of a hassle though.

"You" would be included in "you guys" as you have a 545 E60.

There's really no legitimate good reason to not park together.

If you've been to ANY car event, this is pretty much the way it works, not to mention that Bimmerfest was borne out of internet forums working together as a community to "come together".

By the members of E60.net getting together, we're furthering the promoter's vision to the fullest.

I guess I should of said, "we." I've been to bimmerfest the last 4 years, and it would be cool to have a row of e60s park together. I remember back in '04, I was one of two e60s there.

The only way I see a group of e60s parking together is if we drive into the event together.

I don't wish to deter from the fun, but one of the reasons I said, "you guys," is that I probably won't be attending this year. I use to really look forward to this event, especially the caravan, but just don't see much interest in it any longer. There are just too many cops which take away from both the caravan and the rally which IMO are the best parts of bimmerfest.
