The tint is Madico Charcool.? There's a special non-metalized type used for cars like ours with navigation.? I got it tinted at Extreme Tint and Polish in Santa Clara off of Scotts and Central Expwy.? Some of my friends had their cars done there couple years back and have had no problems.? They also have 3M tint.

I originally had 20% all around but it looked so dark that I took it back the next day to have them redo it with 35%.? Needless to say it was a costly mistake but I'm happy with what I have now.

Oh, it was $250 for all five windows.

Tony, i called Russ yesterday and made an appointment with him for next tuesday. I'm going for 35% all around..

Thank you so much for refering him to me. I hope the result will be all good.

Thanks, Tony! Man, soc_fans, looks like I'm gonna have to set up an appointment as well with Russ. I was thinking about either 30% or 35% but don't wanna attract too much attention, so 35% looks good. I'm pretty sure you can tell the difference as far as keeping the heat out. 20% is pretty dark. Thanks for the info.

I hope you guys will be satisfied with his work. I know that the 35% will probably look a bit darker on mikej's car than on soc_fans because mikej has black on black like mine. I originally chose 20% because his shop had a silver e39 528 with beige interior and it didn't look that dark.

Anyway, let me know how things turn out.

I think the tint should be alright. The only way it usually gets screwed up is if they try to rush the job. Yeah, everyone says having black interior adds to making the tint look darker.

Hey guys, we forgot to pick a time for this meet. Any suggestions? Maybe early evening around 4 and then have a few drinks at Straits Cafe or something?

Hey Guys,

I've got Oct. 22nd wide open. Name the time. Would be nice to find a "photo shoot" place with a decent background to match the great look of our E60s!

Ok So I might have missed the time....I got the date though OCT. 8th. I live off of Willow Glenn, so Santana Row is just an exit away.

Question: Is this only for E60's, can my buddy come along and drive his range....His thinking of getting an E60 though?
