This is a canyon run with a lot of curves. You're not going to get over 40 mph. There is nowhere to get up to 100 mph. Just show up and you'll see what the E60.net meets are all about.
It's all about good, safe fun, but c'mon man, you know you're not going to be under 40mph. Angeles crest is all high speed sweepers so in a manual, 3rd gear should do one good most of the way.
Regarding the other poster, this isn't a race, but you can drive according to your comfort level, with faster drivers near the front and people who wish to cruise near the back. If Joe's leading, I'm sure he'll set an enjoyable pace for everyone.
