Haha talk about long I've done it before... started at ortega hwy drove through lake Elsinore to mt polomar through julian and then took 73 west all the way back to 5 freeway... I think round trip was like 400 miles for me in one day! from LA down to there... go east then south then west. I forgot the exact route... I have it somewhere but I cant seem to find it right now.

Set it up man. Just two recommendations from me, let's meet early, like leave for the drive at 7:30 at the latest, and please include palomar in the route if we're driving towards julian.
I know 7-7:30 is early, especially for someone like me who's over an hour away, but it's better than being stuck in traffic.
Oh, I'd normally say the sooner the better, but if you want a large group of people, like the angeles crest meet, then it's probably best to wait a bit. Though setting it up sooner may encourage some new faces from SD to come out. Whatever the date, as long as I'm free that day, I'll try to make it.

Hey km, is there any cool roads up north? Like maybe somewhere in Ventura County. Santa Barbara or something, that sounds like fun.

dang... tats a pretty long drive.. 150+ MILES!?!.. =X haha
A few weeks ago, I tagged along with a s2000 group on a palomor/julian run (I didn't take the e60 of course). Now, I wasn't 150 miles away, but still a bit over a 100 miles away, and I was glad I made the trek out. They left at 7:30 sharp, which is a good time to begin the run as we would have encountered too much traffic given a later start.

Funny you suggest San Diego, I was just down there this weekend to pickup my daugther who just graduated from UCSD . In fact, we would have joined you guys in LA but I had to drive the van down to move her belongings. Don't know about the drives in San Diego, but I highly recommend Point Loma Seafoods. The scallop sandwiches are the best. I'd like to see a joint Bay Area/LA meet down the road.

We can caravan man. With the open roads in the early morning hour, it goes by pretty fast.
