Good to have you El Immigrante. Let me know soon if it's just you or 2 people and if you're in for lunch, dinner and need a hotel room. Hotel is $179 a night at the Courtyard.

Update:
I've decided to keep with the original plans of going to Cambria instead of searching for ATV rentals. I heard it will be crazy that time of year on the dunes.
Keith is working on a route that will take us through some twisties from the hotel to Cambria where I've just reserved lunch for us at Las Cambritas Mexican restaurant at 1PM. We'll be seated on the outside deck. Although I told them we may have a group of about 50 people, they are fine with us just ordering from the menu instead of making us pre-select dishes. This will give everyone more flexibility to choose what they want to eat. The only down side is it may take them a bit longer to serve everyone. While we're waiting, we'll have chips and salsa and they have a full bar.
After lunch, we'll have several options to choose from:
1) Go to Shamel County Park close by which has a grassy area, beach access, restrooms and public swimming pool.
2) After lunch drinks at Moonstone Grill which overlooks the beach.
3) Wine tasting at various wineries on the way back to the Courtyard
4) Go back to the Courtyard and hang out at the pool. POOL PARTY!!!
As for dinner, I just left a message for the Custom House in Avila Beach to make arrangements. They will most likely make us do a pre-select menu and also sign a contract committing to a set number of people. I'll follow up with more info once I talk to them.

Cool! For the hotel, would you need a room with 1 king or 2 queens?

John made the suggestion we go to Encino. I think he said that was the same place we met last year.
