I used to eat a shit load of Japanese food. it's not that i don't like it, i actually think it's great. I've had all the stuff you like: Uni, O-toro, engawa, spanish/japanese mackerel, hirame, hamachi belly, shad, etc etc etc...I've eaten at most of the well known joints in LA, NY, Vancouver (Tojo's the O.G. of western Sushi), and Asia. But i've given it up since, maybe i'll start eating japanese food in 2012....we'll see how it goes.
