My Ride: 2008 Silverstone II E60 M5 2012 E70 AW X5 50i Sport w/ LCI Aero Kit and Rocker Panels
Today, a private E60.net meet was held in at an old Airport that is no longer in use. There were 2 runways (10,000 & 7,000 feet) and one taxi-way. We had an amazing time. It was definitely one of the most adrenaline pumping meets I have ever been to. There is no better place, outside of an actual track, to do what we did today. We pushed our cars to the limit! I believe just about everyone reached top speed in their cars, except for the Dinan 535 (he ran out of room).
Aside from doing a bunch of Launches, I hit the top speed in my car on almost every run. The car just wouldn't go anymore. The speedometer read 165 MPH though! However, I am pretty sure the governor is 155 MPH on the car (or at least I thought it was). I still had plenty of room to continue on, which made me realize I need a remap desparately. As for my tires, well, let's just say they got seriously worked today. I took a few pix of them in the aftermath.
We had the following cars:

1 - 545
3 - 550's
1 E39 M5
1 E60 M5
1 E46 M3
2 E92 M3's
1 E63 AMG
1 Porsche Carrera 4S
1 Ferrari F430

Anyway, here are my pix. I have a few video's as well. I know people took a bunch of video's of us competing, so hopefully those get posted soon. Enjoy!

Did you guys race against each other at all or just did individual high speed runs? Looked like you lined up with the E63AMG so what was the outcome?

I beat the E63 AMG, along with pretty much everyone else. Yes, I'll brag about it. Hahahaha! However, the Ferrari didn't come out to the runway. It's too bad, as I wanted to race him and see.
As for the wheels, I probably should have run my stock wheels and tires today. I did so many burnouts. Oh well!

It was a hell of a nice time. No need to worry about safety.....well not nearly as much as trying to pull this off on public roads. I personally learned quite a bit about my car and how it behaves after being put through its paces. Couldnt have asked for better weather, too!
And.....that was a 360 Challenge Stradale (360 CS for short), not an F430.

Thanks! I must admit that I do like this picture. I really love my new exhaust too and how it contrasts with the color of the car. I was hesitant at first about the finish, but I truly love it.
