seems like an interesting concept. clutchless shifting. supposedly much faster. my only question is what absorbs all the engine speed/inertia? guess it would still have to be a clutch.............

How is Zeroshift different than SMG or DSG? Nevermind, SMG is the AMT suffering from poor shift quality. Then Zeroshift would be more like DSG.
Automated Manual Transmissions (AMT) suffered from poor shift quality until Zeroshift Ltd revealed its new replacement for synchromesh. The new device provides seamless shifts with improved acceleration, economy and emissions.

the zero shift doesn't use synchros to match gear speeds. and it doesn't need to use the clutch at anything but low speeds. so, from what i can gather, it becomes a seemless transition between the gears. hence the advantage. not that i understand it totally. i know that the weak link, as far as power and efficiency, in a tranny is going to be in the clutch. 1st one that can be able to come up with a reliable, true clutchless transmission is definately ahead of the game.
