I cannot believe that Andy Pettite just had a RPI single. Unbelievable.

Yes, the Yanks did it again. They still need 2 more wins to seal the deal though - tomorrow would be a great next step: CC against Blanton (whoever the hell that is).

It is a real bad thing for the Phillies that they can't or won't put Cliff Lee out there against CC on 3 days rest. CC pitched a perfectly good game in Game 1. It was just that Lee pitched a better game and silenced the Yankee bats. If CC pitches a similar game tonight as he did in Game 1, the Yankees should win. I remember how Girardi said at the post-Game 1 press conference that Lee can't pitch every game.
Completely agree, I looked up this Blanton due - he's got a career 8.14 ERA against the Yanks and a 4.65 ERA in the playoffs. Unless CC falls apart this should be a W. CC did pitch well in Game 1 - he only threw 2 bad pitches, but he was watching Andy last night and seeing how Andy got the lefties out so hopefully he learned something. We will see in a few hours. Nothing is guaranteed until they schedule the parade down "The Canyon of Heroes" - and will there ever be a better place for a parade?
