You can buy both and swap the engine : a 3 series with the V8 biturbo would be better and faster than the sad M3 4.0 .

I saw a 3 coupe M (not M3) on the road tonight ... don't like it at all. Looks far too small and unimposing. The old M3 was "chunky". The new one looks like a little girl designed it. No aggression at all.

The X6 is also in the future models section of bmwusa. I actually like it and will consider it when the X3 lease is up. The US only gets the 3.0TT and the 4.4 V8TT. BMW keeps promising diesels in the US, but nothing so far.

I like it as well, i am convincing my mate to get rid of his X5 and get the X6. Any ideas of the launching date?

It's interesting but it's kinda pointless isn't it? I will reserve final judgement until I see the dimensions in person but this thing is going to cost more than an X5 but be less useful as a people mover or as a sports car. It might very well be BMWs equivalent of nipples on a man.

I might be in the market for the Hybrid version of the X6 when it hits the states.

I don't really like the new X6, but it may grow on me.

Here is a link to the new Dodge Avenger Concept, look familiar?

Looks like the X6, and also looks like this ... http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=48521

Maybe all the designers went to a party and one of them said "hey look what I've drawn", and they all went "ooooh", and wandered back to their respective car companies thinking "I'm going to pretend I drew that".

I think the Hyundai designers really do that! I swear everytime I see one of their models on the road it looks like it has some knock off feature/design from every other manufacturer.
