Ohhh and btw people did you know that the signal shift from the buggati (the one that you use to signal, also the ones you use for wipers and cruise control) EACH ONE OF THEM COSTS 5000 pounds or smth?
5000 euros or whatever for a turning signal?

Even if it would run 600 Km/h it wouldn't be the worlds fastest production car, since it's NOT IN PRODUCTION!

Not yet...

If it's not in production where have the ones driven by the motoring journalists come from?

That's known as PRE-Production.

Regardless, Car and Driver reported running the Bugatti to 253mph (Governered).

Give me a Freestream T1 any day. Get a load of these specs...

Are you familiar with the word pedantic?

All the stats:

http://www.webwombat.com.au/motoring/news_...ts/bugatti1.htm

Proof (of a sort - one should never believe the interweb) that it is in production:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bugatti_Veyron_16.4

NB: please note the following line:

"The first personally owned Veyron was parked in front of Hotel De Russie in Monte Carlo during the 2005 Grand Prix. "

You may also fing the following of interest:

"The production Veyron was shown for the first time on October 19, 2005 at the Tokyo Motor Show. The official United States launch for the production version will occur at the 2006 Los Angeles International Auto Show in January"

And if that isn't enough fun - feel free to check the following article confirming that the veryron is indeed a bit faster than the Koenigsegsegsegseg:

Yeah, sometimes I have the feeling I am in Adrian Monks world...

Seriously, from what I've heard they still have problems with the car and it's not in production...

Iceman - You should feel at home here: www.adrianmonks.com

Check this out - a write up of the LA motor show

http://uk.biz.yahoo.com/060109/244/g0rg3.html

Quote:

"If that's not pricey enough, ultrahigh-end cars are present in force in Los Angeles. Bugatti showed off its 2006 Veyron, at $1.2 million the most expensive production car in history. The 2006 Maybach 57S was also on display, complete with rear cup holders big enough to hold a bottle of champagne and two flutes.""

That's ?687,915.77 in British money.

Is the production problem the fact that someone has to order one before they can build it.

(pretty cheap IMO as I understand that given the expected production run and the cost of development each car is estimated to cost VW ?5,000,000-00)

Are you convinced yet?

I've heard they have a lot (well, a lot in this price segment is not the same 'lot' like in OUR world) of orders allready but can't deliver...

Well, anyways...

One hell of a car, but a little bit too pricey for me...
