Besides the odds against European teams are higher when the Cup matches are played outside of Europe.

Ordinarily, but the time difference is usually one of the factors as is often hotter weather and this time there's little to no time difference and probably cooler weather given that it's "winter" down south so it will probably be less of an issue this time around.

Who's going to win? England have a great chance. They had the best qualifying campaign of any of the 32 and they're winning games right now while coasting (e.g. beating Mexico 3-1 this week even with all the Chelsea players given the week off due to the FA Cup final).

Maybe so. But it's on a different continent. We'll see how they perform soon enough. Can't wait for it to start...
