brett hope you feel better.. try not to smoke if you do.. the suction will pull the clot out and give you a dry socket which will create tremendous pain that vicodin wont help..be careful spitting or sipping through straws.. just take it easy, warm salt water will help your gums a tiny bit, but motrin is an anti-inflammatory so that may help with swelling an eensy bit..hope you feel better soon

radz go to an oral surgeon. for sure

The orthopedist prescribed Vicodin when I broke my foot in 3 places about 1 1/2 years ago. I have to say, take 2 of those and wash them down with a Corona. Suddenly all will become right with the world. Damn, that was the best 8 weeks I can remember.
Do you mean the best 8 weeks you can't remember?

I never could take that stuff--made me nauseous. I did get something with codeine in it for a broken nose one time. That was great!

If you remember it, you didn't take enough Vicodin!!

Hang in there!

No wisdom left in my teeth neither...

I got rid of two when I was with the Army (1981) and the two remaining two years after that.

I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed at one time, with them all being impacted etc. The dentist informed me afterward that my jaw would be somewhat less strong as he had to chip away at the bone to get the teeth out, needless to say it was a BIT involved!! My concern at the time was that in ice hockey we would regularly get hit in the mouth and I didn't want a broken jaw due to oral surgery!! Happily it never was an issue but it did take weeks for it to heal completely!

Ouch! Feel better Brett.

A day and a day ago, I had spinal fusion surgery at L5-S1. I was out of work for a month. But now the surgery is a distant memory as will you wisdom tooth extractions. My wife had it about 10 years ago and she told me it hurt like hell. I can't take Vicodin as it made me itchy as hell.

Think about how cool it would be to get a M-Tech kit. That should take your mind off your mouth.
When i take 2 it makes me really itchy too!! Im sticking to one 750mg.

I dont smoke anything anymore!! After the horror stories ive heard about dry sockets im staying away from everything that could cause it. Thanks for the salt water tip, will try that when i get sick of chicken broth!! The doctor gave me ibprofen (spelling, whatever) as my anti-flammatory!!

Thanks for all the tips, my face is feeling better today. Just a little sore!! Hopefully it will be back to normal by tomorrow, i've got to be ready for the laker game!!!
