Again, 6+ months using Windows 7.

Again, no issues... and that's with 64 bit OS and drivers.

Again, wonderful OS.

The Windows 7 RC builds pre-dated Vista SP2. SP2 is nice, but it's missing a lot of what makes Windows 7 so special.
I hear what you're saying. But when you have to deal with an enterprise environment that has the security lockdowns and specific apps like the one I work in, I doubt there will be much "special" things left. The OS specialists in my arena have just started to officially dig into Win 7 to build a standard image that is suitable for my working environment - so far they are not very impressed.

Now that I've clarified myself a bit - Again, just have to wait and see.

Go for it but be prepared to cash out some more $$$ with AV software. Chances are most AV companies write Windows 7 AV based only on the Vista already available products but label it as Windows 7 compatible.

Right now IMHO the AV solutions for Windows 7 are very limited at best.

Back to topic: Wait and see when Apple will release their tablet. I'm saying that because i've read about the " touch-screen capabilities." of windows 7, and yet the vast majority of users will use Windows on a regular PC without touch screen. Windows gets out a touch screen capable OS (that few will use) and Apple releases a Tablet Think of it!
