Howcome you guys can get deductable's?

Do you have your own companies or what?

I did purchase my car with cash and it's my personal vechicle.

There's no way I could deduct any costs from anywhere!

OK, this is Europe and I do charge company milages taxfree but...
In the US, an insurance deductible means you pay the first X dollars related to a claim. So my $1,000 collision & $500 comprehensive deductibles, for example, mean I pay that amount for each claim and the insurance company pays the rest.

Not so fast glasshopper. This is thunder that I wish that I was not able to steal, but, on my 03 540-6 with a clean record and 47yo, I pay around $2,400 annually with State Farm for 250/500/100 and 1,000 Ded. CP & CL. My 550-6 (due in on 2-11) is about the same.

My 18yo son with a clean record and driver training but without good student on an 06 Honda Civic runs $5,300 annually with State Farm for the same coverage.

BTW, I'm moping :'( as I write this.

Wow, that is high. Also in New Orleans area, though actually in Orleans parish, I pay $1,800 a year on my 545 for 300/500/100 coverage, 1,000 ded. I'm w/ USAA.

My kids are only 6 and 4, so I can't wait to see what the rates are by the time they're driving!!!

I have a full "Kasko" as they call the full coverage car insurance overhere.

I do have a full bonus (70 %) and I pay for it ?740 ($890) /year.

My own risk is at ?150 ($180) for any theft, vandalism, fire or deer/elk accident etc.
If the car needs to be in for repairs, I get ?85 ($100) a day.

It covers everything, if I crash the car less than 3 years old, I get a new one,
for my own risk price.

Then of course BMW gives my a full 2 year warranty and mobility service for 3 years.

Full coverage with $250 deductable I pay $1800/year in Metro Detroit
Last speeding ticket three years ago

2005 530I SMG - $488/yr 100/300/50 $500 Deductible

I guess they cut me a break after having to pay for my wife's 2003 325i ($500/year) and my two kids $1020/year and $846/year on a 2001 Tacoma and 2004 Civic respectively.

Guess I have to report that I caught a break when I added my 550 to my auto insurance policy. "Full coverage" with $100 deductible for comprehensive and $250 deductible for collision ($500,000 liability per accident) only added $648.55 to my yearly bill. My last speeding ticket was in 2000 and I have not been in an accident. Plus I am not using the car to get to and from work (10 minute drive one-way). Maybe I should send my insurance agent something for Valentine's Day.
