My Ride: My ex-ride: EU '08 LCI 520dA. Space Grey, Sport Seats in Black Leather/Fabric Anthracite, Sport Steering Wheel, A/C with Extended Features, Hi-Fi Speakers, Cup Holders, Cruise with Braking function, Folding Rear Seats, Xenons, Park Distance Control.

I have a full "Kasko" as they call the full coverage car insurance overhere.

I do have a full bonus (70 %) and I pay for it ?740 ($890) /year.

My own risk is at ?150 ($180) for any theft, vandalism, fire or deer/elk accident etc.
If the car needs to be in for repairs, I get ?85 ($100) a day.

It covers everything, if I crash the car less than 3 years old, I get a new one,
for my own risk price.

Then of course BMW gives my a full 2 year warranty and mobility service for 3 years.

Spooky................I was only thinking this afternoon about posting with the same question.

My 530D costs ?350 (500 euro, $600) per year fully comprehensive. For driver age 49 with no claims past 6 years...................and only one live speeding endorsement........................well .........we all miss the cameras sometime !

UK Warranty from BMW is 3 years 60,000 miles, a one off 'gap' insurance (?250) tops up total loss cover to original invoice price for 3 years.

............Now this might be a subject where we get one back on the USA for thier low gas prices !!

My Ride: '04 545iS 6 spd, bought new via eBay, 11/05; Blk/Gry, Cold, L7, PDC, BMW Rear seatcover for pets. First "Bumwa" was a new 1971 2002. High performance 5s since 1987. Beamer motorcycles too, currently on an 07 BMW K1200 GT; also a Moto Guzzi 1000 SP III.

$1260/an with $500 deductable (Travelers). They discovered belatedly, several years ago that my 535iS was a high performance model, and raised my rates (must have been that wBAD vin...) . I assume they are still pegged at that level, 3 cars later, despite a clean record and nothing but a couple of glass claims.

Cheers,
Ray Hull

It's Travelers. I do have a $500 deductible so if yours is lower that might make a difference. We also get good/superior driver discounts plus multiple vehicle discount.
