Rarely...in fact i think i did it once, and i'm not proud of it even if he let me go, cuz it was smth about my gf being brought in the ER...

Most of the time i face my fault and hope for a lower fine.

Thats not good to use your loved ones like that!!

Thai police are quite lenient in some areas, sometimes a simple, I really had to use the bathroom would work!! Plus I never give them my driver's license, I just corrupt them by paying them off. At first I couldn't believe it. But it works! Not proud of it, but thats how it is here....

If my gf is in the car with me, she would pretend that she's having cramps for me.

If i'm alone driving the car, i would say that i'm rushing home to study for exams. <--- this method worked once! Amazing! The cop wished me luck for my exams and asked me to study hard! He even asked whats my major..

I was running 90mph when I got caught, and I told him that I needed to go to the toilet. He let me go with 70mph ticket.. Better than nothing

Sorry officer, but I was training for my vacation travel to Austria (through Germany), so I need to adapt to the speed over there.

He smiled, gave me a hefty warning and let me go without a ticket or suspended licence(170 kmh where 120 was allowed)

By the way: his warning had more effect on my driving than a ticket that my company pays.

But overall: stay patient and honest to them, they are doing only their jobs. They look mainly to disturbing behaviour in traffic, especially in heavy traffic or in tows.
