i travel a lot, and would love to buy bmw-centric mags for plane trips.
i've come across "BMW Magazine" (UK publication) at Barnes and Nobles, and loved it.
but before i plunk down the stiff subscription rate for US-based delivery, i was wondering if i could get suggestions on other rags that i might not know about.
hopefully they have a web link so i can check them out.
somehow road & track and car & driver don't cut it for me...thanks!

Not sure where in the Bay Area you are but I get a bunch of British car mags from Tower Records and/or Barnes and Noble (Top Gear, Car, plus a number of UK BMW mags). They get a few copies in within a week of publication in the UK, benefit is you can take a quick look at the content before forking out the cash. US subscription rates can be pretty pricey (especially with the current exchange rates).

i don't have any tower records near me, i think.
thanks for the tip!

Have you joined the BMW Car Club of America? There is a good magazine subscription that you get as part of your membership.

Try border's book. Much better than barnes & noble.
There are two bigger border's in east bay.
One is right by the theatres in union city, the other is in fremont (mowry ave and fremont blvd).
