Interested to know what you all drive as a second car (those that have one). I drive an 9 year old Ford Focus estate. (UK).
It's great to have something you don't worry about leaving in a shopping mall car park where it may get a ding or two and driving on icy salty road surfaces in the winter getting filthy.
It also makes you realise what a great car the E60 is when you go back to it.

1992 VW Corrado with nearly 200,000 miles, falling out of love with it now though.....nagging problems mounting and Corrado specific parts are expensive. Just avoided paying $250+ for a door handle.....found a guy on ebay that sold me a repaired one for $80 but most of the time I'm not so lucky.

My Ride: 2008 BMW 550i
2006 BMW X3
I did have a '98 Neon RT. It was a great winter beater. Problem was I only drove it in the winter or rare times otherwise such as picking up pine needles at Home Depot. It was was hard to drive it with an '02 M5 in the garage.
I then traded the Neon for an '06 X3. Its a decent vehicle for around town and even does well on winter trips to the West Virginia mountains. I try to drive the X3 as much around town as the 550i but due to big trips and BMW meets I still put 4500 miles on the 550i in the first 2 months.
