Where would you guys rather put your family? Saloon, SUV or estate? I put mine in my SUV since I sold my E39 530i saloon. But when I still had my 530, I also put them there. What about you guys?

I think that depends on how many of you there are, what kind of things you like to do, and whether or not you have any teenage drivers. (I think SUV's are a bad idea for new drivers, so the 530 hands down there.) As far as comfort, we had a 4x4 Chevy Suburban with the third seat that I loved. It was great, even for an adult, to curl up in the back with pillows and read while somebody else drove. Everyone was happy, lots of room. We even took that sucker to the mountains, and it scrambled up and down some pretty rough and rocky trails like a champ! Totally versatile. For a daily driver though, the 530, of course.

I've been wanting to get a Hummer when the time comes for family stuff!

If not, an X5 maybe!

If they were sold in the US, the perfect car would be a M5 wagon, Audi RS6 wagon or the MB E63 wagon (which is available here). If I had to combine my 997 and my SUV into one car, it would be one of these three.

I agree! M5 estate/ wagon would be awesome. If only they sold it in the U.S. Safer than an SUV, plenty of useful room in back (unless your family's huge or you have a couple of large dogs).

We use an SUV (SAV), our X5, as it is big enough for the whole family, but not SO big that it gobbles gas, and it's a great looking car to boot!
