AHAHAH PERFECT... WHAT REALLY MATTERS OTHER THEN MENS HOCKEY IN THE WINTER OLYMPICS? 14 GOLDS, CAPPED BY THE MOST CLUTCH GOAL BY THE BEST HOCKEY PLAYER IN THE NATION. AMAZING.
THE STREETS WERE FLOODED WITH RED IN CITIES ACROSS CANADA. IN MY CITY, THEY SHUT DOWN BLOCKS OF DOWNTOWN FOR PARADES AND PARTYING!! IT WAS INSANE!

I said before the game that if the USA can't pull off a win, then I hoped that Crosby would somehow be responsible for Canada's victory. I guess my "plan B" came true...
Sid really is a great role model for our youth (you could say he passed up Tiger Woods as one of the top ones these days
) and I feel lucky to have such an all around good guy playing here in Pittsburgh. 
I hope the NHL (and hockey in general) gained some new fans tonight not only across North America but across the globe as well!

) was rooting for Sid and Canada.I am a member of a sports discussion board here in SE, MI and you can't believe the anti-Crosby animus I read yesterday. I'm sorry that USA lost, but happy that it was Sid that won the game for Canada. I am also grateful that he plays for my hometown team, and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.
What a fitting follow-up to the gold medal game as Ryan Miller and the Sabres travel to Pittsburgh to take on Sid and the Pens tomorrow (Tuesday) night.
