So I was at a greek festival yesterday and parking was pretty rough. I happened to find a spot close so I said to myself "just this once I'll park close. I'll be fine" So I pulled into the spot (next to a large paint van) <-- big mistake. Being as psychic as I am, I loooked at the paint van's logo, and put the number in my phonebook. Sure enough when I looked at my car this morning there was a nice ding on the rear, driver's door. Seeing that I backed into the spot, the paint van's drivers door would've hit in that exact spot. And the mark has white around it (the color of the van).
The question is, I have his number and I know it was him, because I washed and waxed and would've seen that spot; how do I handle this? Just forget about it?
Thanks

1. If you were truly psychic you would have known your door was going to get dinged and spent the extra time walking from afar instead of writing down a number that will serve you little, if at all.
2. You at least could call the guy, go over and show him how the paint matches up and see what he says. He'll probably give you the Calton Love Note, aka "GFY," but it's worth a shot. Then, tuck that number away and remember that some debts of gratitude are best to pay later.
3. Remember, extra caution should be exercised when backing into ANYTHING at a Greek festival.
Good luck.

There are several issues here:
1. If you were truly psychic you would have known your door was going to get dinged and spent the extra time walking from afar instead of writing down a number that will serve you little, if at all.
