when i 1st got my store and could only afford to pay myself i'd work 7 days a week 10 to 12 hours a day. plus my hour long commute each way from san diego to san clemente. although once in a while i'd sleep in my car. that only lasted about 6 months. working like that all the time will drive a man insane. the longest straight no sleep working was something like 40 hours. had to move a bunch of fixtures and reset merchandise. now i'm just getting lazy. i haven't actually been into the store to work since christmas time.
but, by far, you medical guys are nuts. 84 hours in icu. 22h in the emergency room. i can't imagine. that's serious life changing sh!t. i don't think i could pull it off.

I'm still pretty young (23) and recently entered the industry so I still work a lot of hours. There are weeks I don't drive my car...on average I use it one day a week. It's actually kind of sad...my previous job I was home at a reasonable hour and was driving it everywhere.
This is a fun question. I love seeing everyone post their 50, 60, 70, 80+ hour work weeks. I'm glad I don't feel your pain. At least not yet anyway.
At my current job I'm supposed to do the normal 40 hrs/week, but I'm usually only here for about 30-35 hrs/week, and then if you wanted to count actual work time I probably do about 15 hrs/week. I'm only bringing in $3,400 a month salary, but I'm also being paid intern wages since I'm still going to school (I'm 22). I can't complain really.
Back in the day, being 5-6 years ago, I did work for my dad doing construction where I did put in the full 40 and boy did it suck.
Keep up the hard work though guys.

Yeah, surprisingly, it's not that uncommon. 100 hours is an average week.

you should get as much work as posable now, cos it will die down when you hit mid 30s like me.
Just what to work hard & play much harder
Half way into my life so I`m going to enjoy what is left of it

Pinguhk you crack me up. You are all over the place when it comes to hours, one post you're up over 100 the next you're down to 5, and I thought my job was flexible.
