My Ride: 2008 550I LOADED, all options except HUD and NV
I'll start, for me it was 3 cars actually:
1) For those old enough to remember Spencer For Hire (TV show) - Hawk had a badass white BMW, and I loved it
2) 89 M3 - the flared fenders and spoiler are still beautiful today
3) 8 Series coupe - again, I still see them and still love em

My uncle let me drive his e39 540 when i was 16. I was taken back by the power and smoothness. I bought an 86 318i for $650 as a beater, and later an 82 325e for $200. i loved them both very much.
There is something about BMW i can quite put my finger on. The cars have character. There is BMWs Legacy and Heritage. To own a BMW isnt just about having a BMW. It is about being part of something. A community. BMWs truly are engineered and designed to be an enthusiasts car. When I look at my car I am filled with pride, not because It is a symbol of my success at this point in my life, but I know that I am driving a fine automobile, and i know when i come out of the grocery store and see another BMW or two parked next to my car (cause we stick together) I know those people feel the same way.
You will find more passionate BMW owners then any other fairly mainstream car on the road.

Like the one I attached here but mine was blue (and the reason that when I do manage to get an M5 it will be Interlagos Blue with Blk)

In 1994 I was driving my new mustang and a BMW M3 was next to me and it was love at first sight. I went to my dad and was like I'm selling my car... He thought I was nuts and said why and for what... we just bought you a car. I was like get in he laughed at my 18 year old self and I drove to BMW. They happened to have a 1991 Bmw M3 Dinan Blk / Tan so it was meant to be.. right... I sold my car to a friends brother , took a loan out and bought it. I was the first family member to have a BMW soon after my purchase my dad sold one of his cars and bought the 6 series....it was a true daughter father moment when he did that.... I strayed away for a few months but came right back to where I will stay until I can no longer drive,lol...!!!!

I was late in the BMW craze. I was into American muscle and lowriders. BMW were just cars to me. For me, it was the E46 M3. But I liked V8's so I still wasn't interested. More of my friends started buying BMW. Then I just searched Autotrader for a BMW with a V8 and found the 545i.

My dad's maroon 1976 BMW 2002. He went through two engines and he modded both the engine and the suspension.
It was such a great car and he drove it for 8 years and 250,000 miles.
When I was a kid, dad and I useed to compete in BMWCCA road ralleys held by the New Jersey chapter with my dad as the driver and me as the navigator. Those were the days! Dad passed from brain cancer in 1988 at the age of 50 but I will never forget the fun and the great times we had in our BMW. Now Victor and I have the same kind of fun times in our 550 and he has as much fun with me as I did with my dad.
Suffice it to say that I will always have an emotional bond to BMW.

Had friends with a '79 320i and early 70's 2002 (round tail lights). Those cars were nice and I enjoyed them. I liked the looks for the E30 and E30 M3 but it wasn't until my E12 1977 530i that I fell in love with the smooth I-6 engine and fun balance between power and torque. I've had V8's (e39 and e53) but I keep going back to the I-6.
