look at the bottom right of the screen...
You're kidding, right? That's you local network connection, not your internet connection. (and actually 1000 Mbps (not 100) is pretty much standard now for many machines...)

I do love the fact that you're using Novell's Zenworks for Desktops and you're running the application launcher. Your IT guys are on the ball!

Hey daydok, your avatar is trying to send me a cookie!

sese, yours is too!!

Try uploading them directly to E60.net instead of linking to an external site. I see no reason why someone's avatar needs to send me a cookie...

Keep in mind, this is at my house -- I only wish we had this kind of bandwidth at the office!
FIOS?

FWIW, the speakeasy site doesn't like high(er) speed pipes and seems to misrepresent high speed connections. It's looks to be setup to test asymmetrical connections and I think it's limited in it's own connection. But that's only a guess based on my own observation and not based on fact. The views of this editorial are no those of this message board or my employer. See rules for details.

hahhahaha...yeah its really quick whatever the speed is...im in between IT and pure business unit, i support applications with a support staff and im a biz analyst so i like to play around, our connections seriously quick here...

Novell Zen is oK, but it does annoy often as its continuously loading cr*p! but it does work well for what is needed im still a Mac man and rather that to the PC world but, MS rules the world

Zen only loads whatever crap the IT dept has configured...it's clear that it's a tough beast to tame but you can make it work very efficiently if spend the time tweaking everything...

(Oh, and I agree about the MS comment but I'm still not planning on converting to Mac for my desktop OS. Linux would be my choice number two and yes, I know about OS X running some flavor of it. For what it's worth (not much), I was an early Apple customer (Apple II) and I still have an Apple Lisa in storage just for fun. Also, bought a few Macs in 1984 when they were first released...)

yeah, theres just so many damn patches for security that it gets to an overkill point....

At work of course im forced to use the windows environment, but its just cr*p, plain and simple, ...at home i have a Mac, an XP loaded laptop as well as desktop for telecommuting...my Mac is a G3 body with G4 chipset and too much other stuff to list but it still runs better than any of my PC based systems...im gonna get a new Mac when the intel chip set is another generation upgraded as i want to see what issues come out in the early releases...the Mac interface is soo much nicer and so much more consistent.... once you go Mac, you cant look back
