I own a travel agency and also work as an equipment manager in american football (currently in Germanys second division).
Used to work for the NFL over here in NFL Europe, had to quit because I was needed in my office very badly this year, hope to work for/with the NFL again next season.
Two championship rings with the NFL Europe.

They both sound like cool jobs, I bet you get some "interesting" travel deals
American Football is pretty big in Germany isn't it? It's always been a bit of a niche sport over here.

NFL Europe games have averages between 25000 and 30000, when the arch rivals Galaxy and Fire meet there could be more than 40000 ppl in the stadium. The record is somewhere close to 60000.
Soccer is just too big, and the most ppl don't understand - and don't want to understand - the rules of american football. But once you start you are getting addicted. This is a fantastic sport IMHO. I really love it! Never boring, allways interesting!!!
Maybe you remember the London Monarchs ? Or later they've switched their name and were the England Monarchs ? They were part of our League, but since there are too many niche sports there was not enough room for us...
I love having the NFL Europe over here, since you meet players who might become superstars later in NFL. Also you are able to meet superstars who are scouting now, or working for the TV. And from my work with the NFL I know ppl in almost every team in the NFL. This is real fun!

browellm, I do pretty much what I darned well please. I am a webmaster and active volunteer in a few special interest organizations because I want to.
Just got back from a run down Central Expressway to the Farmer's Market in downtown Dallas for a flat of figs to make some fig preserves. Will piddle with that off and on today. Harvested seven tomatoes from my four plants - 100 pounds or so this summer. Play with you guys and a couple of other forums.
. . . and whatever else I decide might be the thing to do today.
