yes, it broke my heart too!! i couldnt sleep for several days, it was my first baby and i was 17 when it happened, thanks to some old grandpa who cut me off from the opposite direction. fortunately the insurance covered up everything since it was 100% the other party's fault.

i had a 2006 Audi A4, which i traded in for the 535xi
wife still has a 2007 Range Rover Sport HSE w/ the dirt metal wheel option
i also had a 2002 325Ci, and a 1996 Nissan Maxima SE, but can't find any pictures of them.

I owned a renault espace IV 2.2 dci for 4 years and a week (2004-2008 my worst nightmare) :
the xenon lights failed after one year I think (they remained blocked to the ground at the base correction)
the gear box failed after 2 years
the accessories belt failed after 2 years and 6 months
the admission pipe exploded after 2 years and 10 months
the engine+turbo failed at the end (4 years and one week 132 906km)
plus some others stupid things, like warning, electric window buttons ... and of course the worst Customer Service in the world !
ADAC (german automobile club) rated bmw as most reliable cars in january 2008 (6 among 10 best cars), that's why today I have one, and except my runflat tires, I'm really happy with it.

WAS COMPLETE TOTAL WRITE OFF, BUT RESTORED TO PRESENT CONDITION..........FOR ULTRA CHEAP....HOWEVER TOOK 3 MONTHS TO DO IT
