I too drove a '32 Model A, but that was well before my 16th birthday.

A 1969 long wheelbase landrover.

 

A 1980 Datsun 200SX, two tone red/black. It was also my first car. My dad bought it for me during my high school junior year 1985.

Learned to drive manual stick shortly after that with my sister's Toyota Celica.

Aahhh the memories....

 

Hehe.. I learned to drive in a white Renault Megane Scenic -97 god what an awful car that was. Sometimes it wouldn't start at all.. I hated it and I'm glad we got rid of it.

 

learnt how to drive in an X5 2003 and technically my first car is the e60

 

Learned on a 1970 Ford Escort (UK)... my first car was a 1959 Austin Mini... one of the first ever made Reg No. WSF 852. had sliding windows on doors and green moss used to grow in the sliding channels. At least it was a change from the doors creaking

No 7-series for me. I never promised Daddy that I would grow up.

Great cars, the Model A. We replaced ours with the '36 Ford. And I had some other Model A experience, too. It had been used on a paper route in Jacksonville, FL and was really in good shape. My Dad's boss bought it and more or less parked it in our back yard. It was my "date" car when I was in high school. Then after the war, my college roommate had a Model A. We had some great times with that vehicle.

 

Learned to drive on my first car. A 1957 Opel Olympia Rekord. Three speed on the column, two tone blue and it looked like a 3/4 scale '56 chevy. See, I've always liked German cars! And it was not new when I bought it for $75. My more recent German cars have cost a little more.....

 

I learned to drive in Europe in a 1978 Mercedes 240D 4 speed stick ( Back then my dad wasn't a big fan of BMW's )

But now he can't live without his 645 Ci
