As for beer, I don't drink much of it but when I do, I like dark/motor oil-type beer such as Augustinerbrau Dunkel or Guiness Stout. I do not like Bud (sorry Mel).
I drink wine more than beer. I really like a good Cabernet -- Duckhorn, Silver Oak, Stag's Leap, etc. I tend to like reds a lot more than whites. I am more into the Napa/Sonoma wines than the French ones. Maybe that's because my wife and I travel out to Napa/Sonoma once every 2 years or so. In fact, we are due for a trip out there this summer.
