anyone know about Mido?

I am thinking of picking this watch up for more casual attire. Maybe for golf or other activities.

This watch lists for $1000. I am sure I can get it for closer to $600 if i look hard enough.

EDIT: That is not the face I saw. I saw those bands attached to a face that was similar in color, same green lettering, but there were more complexities, like date, etc.

I've never had any experiences with this brand, but my advice is to look to Seiko for an everyday watch - they are quite good, despite appearing completely generic more times than not. Especially, their innovative movements, like the solar or kinetic movement watches.

Congrats on the new watch Craig. You should post up in this official E60 watch thread. https://5series.net/forums/index.php?showto...38&hl=rolex

As you're progressing into the world of watches, I seriously recommend looking into getting a Breitling - I've had one since 2001 and it has been completely problem-free. Also, Longines is worth giving a look and Baume and Mercier. Panerai has some excellent pieces and high-quality movement.
+1 Breitling has been high on my "list" for a few years now. Longines and B&M also have nice designs

My first adult watch is an Omega Seamaster, I love it, it seems like it is built to take a bullet! Very strong and sturdy. The orange one that you are describing is beautiful, I like it a lot, and matches my school's colors perfectly! I remember looking at it a couple years ago, and it seemed a lot smaller than I had initially thought it was.
My Seamaster is one of my favorites. It's not too big compared to some of my other watches, but it sure is the heaviest. The first time I put it on it felt like a big rock was on my wrist.

Don't know anything about Mido, but it's sporty lookin. I'd rock it. Check out Swiss Army. They have some nice everyday watches for under a G.

@ scott

I know the seamaster is actually the cheepest one of the 3 @ 2200$ retail, the moon watch is my favorite I wish I had gotten it instead of the pasha, the pasha was like a 1k more than the omega.. The girl at the time I was w/ talked me into it I believe her words were "it's scrumptious"
