One gripe about it, they canceled some access of their "alt" newsgroups

I've been really happy too!... but i've norticed that there remotes are not very durable... I've already gone through 3 remotes.. don't know if its a fluke r bad design. but I've never had this problem before with any other remote.

Do you have the new or older remotes?

We had FIOS for ~ 8 months now. The Internt is slower than Comcast was, and the DVR is a complete piece of crap. It keeps locking up and we already are on our second one (same issues).

I've had if for about 1 1/2 years now...Internet seems a bit faster was getting 12MBps with cablevision and now just under 20Mbps...
Best thing was the quality of the TV compared to cablevision even the standard TV channels.
And I now get BBC America...Top Gear, Primeval, Doctor Who

Here in DC-land there are TV ads touting 100 FiOS HD channels will be released soon.
It's a very very good system. They use Motorola STBs, so I doubt the gear is any less durable than any other cable operator using Mot hardware.
Also, FiOS doesn't compress its television beyond the native ATSC bit rates. Comcast and others are doing this... see for yourself.

I have had it a little over a year... LOVE IT!!!
Only gripe I have is that the program guide and the on demand menu lags (they work off your modem)... It drives me nuts...
If you push the remote button with no patience(as I do)... When it catches up it it tweaks a bit...
Other than that the internet is fast as lightning... Getting about 21785kb down and 5243kb up... Pretty fast compared to suck "COX" cable...

I also have the phone but have used it maybe 2 times over the past year... Only have it for emergency but it seems to work ok
