My Ride: BMW 535xi
Model Year: 2008
We were walking home, after a drink at a 5 star Hotel last night, and as we walked through the valet parking lot we saw a Valet drive a gorgeous 3 series right over a parking stop curb! Jeeesh! The noise was terrible. Makes me wonder about all the times I valet...

I never valet, unless:
1. they park it at the front of the establishment, or
2. they let me park it in the valet parking space, and
3. give the key back to me

I never valet unless it's a rental. I'd rather let my wife or clients off at the door and park it myself. That's what feet are for.

i valet if i am taking someone out. if i am with some friends, i will just park it. if i am on a date, the car gets valet treatment, and there is no way in hell am i going to let her see me cause a scene about getting my keys back or whatever else. in almost all cases that would be a huge turn-off. i hand the guy 10 bucks while getting out of my car. this almost ensures they will take care of it and that it gets a good spot.
...also if i am out by myself, and there is the possibility that i may not be leaving alone, the car gets valeted. its less about the car and more about how you present yourself, in these cases
