The Americal team played very well and deserved to win. The crowd were a credit to you guys too.

I can't agree that Boo embodies the spirit of the south. Most southern people I've met on my travels are the epitome of good manners and charm.

That guy was doing a Kentucky Derby horse ride on his driver at the START of his round yesterday and during the three days he was whipping up the crowd BEFORE the Europeans had their turn. Luckily for him he had one his better days or he would have looked like an even bigger git.
You haven't been to the parts of the south that I have been to I agree that some of his antics might have gone a bit far, but he did quiet the people down on Sat/Sun. I think Lee Westwood didn't have the best of weekends (he's been pretty good in past Ryder Cups), and the crowd got to him. I'm surprised he wasnt more competitive.

And Anthony Kim was definitely the surprise of the weekend, boy did he put a whooping on Sergio! Sergio didnt help himself either by putting a couple of balls into the water on the same hole...

It was awesome! They played so well. Thank god we got the cup back. It's been way too long! Maybe Tiger should stay out of it moving forward. Hahahaha!

Yes, Kim was immense. I have a feeling that Garcia tried to play a few mind games (slow play etc.) but that only works if you are somewhere close to your opponenent in form.

It's a great game that is frustrating when you first start out... Keep at it!

My "Starting out" tip would be to spend your money on lessons rather than fancy equipment...

Yeah, good move on the beginner set... I still have mine (I have changed out a few clubs) and it will be a while before I drop some serious coin on a full set of clubs. And as much as you are going to want to smash it with the driver, you actually want to work on your irons a LOT more. Find out how far and accurate you can hit with your irons and that will save you strokes going down the road. And second after your irons, is putting. Practice, practice, practice your putting. I've lost birdies on holes because of it.
