Up Against a Modded G35 and backed off got scared at triple digits
I was driving and raced with a modded G35 (not sure what he has but I am pretty sure it's tuned with an exhaust). Yes I street raced so bash me all you like. I do drive as safe as possible and I;m always a courteous driver. Well, the 545i went up against it VERY well. I pulled about 2 to 3 car lengths from him when we started at the same time. Then at 130 mph, I backed off. I was scared
. I really think I'm getting old. LOL. And then when he went first, I was at third gear at 50 mph and didnt bother shifting down to second. Still caught up with him then had to let go due to a few slow cars. I used to feel the car is slow. Well, now it feels good and it's power I can handle pretty well. These G35s and G37s are freakin quick!
These last few times, I am definitely scared to push it hard. ESPECIALLY on the streets. You dunno when there's a pothole or oil on the ground. If I have a clearview, I'll go. Guessing games, of course not. At 130 on the BQE, I get scared.
I guess this means I'm getting older and older and have less guts. I mean Calton on the other hand would probably blow by it at 200 mph and Rich would most likely drove off at 150.

What you let a G35 got the better of you?...
....jokes aside...honestly I do the same....gone are the younger days when I did stunts I could not believe...thinking about it today.....back home I used to go to work through winding roads...and used to drive to work with a few friends...we used to race like hell...I was driving a diahatsu then...I remember one time out of ego/desperation I overtook my friend and another car on a blind turn....when i got to work...got out of the car and my hands were still shaking.

Let's face it, we've all been in tripple digits on BQE
probably
Bro, I'm proud of you - what you did was the responsible thing. Your car is sick, you're a smart guy (not to mention a big asset to this forums), you were probably with your girl (Amy, right? I am terrible with names, sorry), there were most likely other cars out there... I'm sure you see where I'm going with this, so the only thing I wanna say is: I'm proud of you, bro. Next time, don't even race anyone on the street - tell them, they think they got it? bring it to the track.
PS We are all getting older - that's one of the main things about life, but trust me, you're not old

Just have to convince my mom
i had a guy in a chevy colbalt with exhaust and stickers and a giant spoiler (no it wasnt the SS) it was all like pep boys aftermarket shit. I didn't take the bait. road was kind of empty, but this wasn't even a challenge. i probably could have beat him in limp mode.

@130 on BQE. You puss. The min. speed is 150 and above.

The heavily patrolled and trafficked BQE is definitely no place to race. Pulled over at 130 equals arrest, jail, total loss of license and possible confiscation of the car. I sure wouldn't want to see those things happen to you John.
Call me a wuss but I never have gone triple digits on the BQE. Too much risk.
Take it to track or at least get in the sticks before going that fast. Plus the G35 is not in your league anyway. Your car rocks and believe me, the dude in the G35 wished he was driving your ride.
