Hi

I need some recommendation for my trip to San Diego in November. I'm to attend a conference at
www.towncountry.com and would like to stay at a central place
for sightseeing and exploring. So is it better to stay near the beach/town or is the accommodations at the
conference-hotel recommended (it seems like it is a little outlying)?

Any tip on what to get around and see is also appreciate.

reg

Stay in the Gas Lamp District if you can. It's a historical landmark area with old gas lamps lining the streets and full of restaurants, shops, bars, clubs..etc... I believe there are several nice hotels on the strip as well such as the W and Intercontinental.

For more detailed info, PM member Vegastrashed as that's his town.

Brazilian steak houses are awesome. I've been to a couple in Sao Paolo.
