All my friend has to do is arrive at the destination (after being flown there in his LearJet) and he's good to go.
This is pretty much standard procedure in the business of racing -- many of the drivers and team owners do this exact thing when they're racing at tracks in towns that don't offer much in the way of high-end accomodations. In some cases, it's even in the driver's contracts that the team has to provide these accomodations at specific tracks located in the middle of nowhere.
In addition, motor homes like the one pictured above aren't able to be used while they're being driven since the slide-outs have to be retracted before you can drive off. When the slide-outs are retracted, you can't really even sit down inside one of them (other than the driver and passenger seat...)
