this reminds me of the 1980's when audi was nearly run out of this country due to supposed stuck accelerators also.
i noticed the media was all over nissan recalling some cars last week as well. but yet not one mention on TV of chevy recalling some malibu's? conspiracy theory now that the govt owns GM?????

It would seem that if the drive by media was really interested, a test could easily be done......take the car/s in question out on a stretch of open road, accelerate up to speed, hold the car at WOT, then see if you can really overcome the brakes.

Phil - if you haven't had a chance to do so already, take a look at the video I posted here yesterday. It's basically showing how the Prius could easily be shifted into neutral while on the move and also that the brakes could easily have stopped the car.
