It's just amazing!! a couple of weeks ago, I drove 225 km only highway, at 160-190 km/h, and my journey computer said when I got home, that my consumtion was: 7.5 L/100km I LOVE this car!

And it only revs 2.800 RPM at 200 km/h

220 km/h (~136 mph) on E18 motorway from Helsinki to Turku early in the morning with virtually no traffic.

The car was stable and had still a lot of power reserves to unleash

How can you call that road "highway"? It's full of crossroads and some very dangerous spots! You crazy!

BTW, some years ago a lone policeman driving a very innocent and inconspicuos red Golf got me at 115 mph on the way from Hammenlinna to Turku; luckily for me, he was not speaking English at all and so, being unable to communicate, he just decide to allow me to go unhurt!

I'm used to drive at indicated 162 mph (260 kph) every week, during nightime. It's usually possible along the Milano-Venezia and Brescia-Piacenza highways, when the heavy traffic of the day slows down. In 2001, in that area, the police got me at 219 kph: I had to say goodbye to my license for two months!

No problem at all with the car at that speed, the funny thing is that I don't see any real difference between my previous car, 530d, and the actual 535d: they both reach end of scale easily. The only advantage with the 535d is that it's able to reach the top speed quicker than the 530d.

My best performance was last November, on a Friday night with no traffic at all: 550 km of highway in 2h 50 min, including one tank refill. Never been able to do better.

It is not driving at full speed in safe conditions with a 5 series which gives you the most drenaline but driving at 100 mph flooring an old 1977 Peugeot 104ZS (1100 cc and 66 HP). That was geat sensations. I was 19 and had good reflexes at that time...

267 km/h (about 160 mph) with my BMW K1 on a freeway from Porvoo to Helsinki.

I was driving a bit downhill. The speed limit was 120 km/h (about 75 mph) ?

I lost my drivers license about an hour later; got caught driving only 180 km/h :'(

Hey, you should've told the cop he can't take your license now. I mean, honestly, he didn't stop you when you were speeding, you were slow allready...

145mph on an Autobahn passing Trier in Germany - and the 535d was still pulling! (a car pulled out, failing to see my bi-xenons!)

In the 530d top speed indicated 260 km/h in A2 highway from Lisbon to Algarve.
In the Corvette C6 top speed indicated 300 km/h in the same highway and that was the fast ride that i took .........
