I did 142 mph (229 km/h) in my humble 520i, That was one week ago on the road from Cairo to Alamein (this is where Montegomry defeated Romel, now it has become a touristic place).
I was stunned by the stability of the car on such a high speed, and it was also maneuverable

220 km/h (~136 mph) on E18 motorway from Helsinki to Turku early in the morning with virtually no traffic.
The car was stable and had still a lot of power reserves to unleash

Thinking about it if were not talking BMW then i did 150+ in Dads 911 whilst being chased by an Evo VI Tommy Makinen Edition.
Im not entirely sure how fast we hit but it was over 150 (too busy concentrating on the road).
Was coming out of wales on heads of the valley road. Empty dead straight stretch of dual carriage way before hitting the M50.
The guy in the Evo kept up but was slowly (very slowly) being left behind.

267 km/h (about 160 mph) with my BMW K1 on a freeway from Porvoo to Helsinki.
I was driving a bit downhill. The speed limit was 120 km/h (about 75 mph)
I lost my drivers license about an hour later; got caught driving only 180 km/h :'(
