Fans of BBC's 'Top Gear' motoring program might want to spare a thought for Richard (Hamster) Hammond who is reported to have been critically injured in a crash whilst filming for the program in a jet powered car.

Indeed, he made the show many many times.I for one found him as the most entertaining presenter at TG. Very sad for the accident. Let's hope he makes it and he comes back to the show.

I was really sad to hear this, and I hope he gets well as soon as possible. He seems like a nice guy.
He was driving this.

This is a sad day for all top gear fans. He was the perfect ying to the yang of Jeremy Clarkson. He was also the sole defender of the American Muscle car and appreciated cars that weren't always "proper" on the show. I hope he makes a speedy recovery (no pun intended).
