I've been meaning to post some of these and Anzafin's photoshoot got me motivated. Flew out to Tempe a couple of weeks ago, then up into SW Colorado and back home. My first time over the mountains in a small plane , but it was good. Thought you guys might enjoy the perspective...I know I did

Great pics! I hear flying over canyons can get pretty bumpy from the fluctuations in the temperatures above the canyons.

Yes, it can, especially in the afternoon! We didn't have a choice about that going out, and the flight into Tempe was the roughest I've experienced yet. It was good, really, that I was trying to take pictures. Gave me something else to think about...

i just saw movie "alive" about people that hit serious turbulance over the mountains.. scary stuf.

the pictures are great i wish i can see that from the sky too..

I m full of envy. Those pics are really beautiful. I had a chance to fly over Grand Canyon in 1995, n its was so breath-taking.

We talked about doing that but (I think to my relief) didn't get time... Next time I'll be ready for it I think
